THE GAME
by Bekah Brunstetter

directed by Caroline Jane Davis

Alyssa and Homer are in a marriage that’s hit a glitch. And it’s all due to the massively engrossing online game that’s wreaking havoc on the lives of couples everywhere. When she puts together a support group for other women in a similar situation, the game enters a new level where all’s fair in love and war…and sex. Bekah Brunstetter’s (Horizon’s The Cake, NBC’s This is Us, and Broadway’s The Notebook) hilarious, racy, and heartfelt comedy brings technology and community together in the most unexpected ways.

“stellar performances, smart direction and more than a few laugh-out-loud moments.”

“finely tuned performances from a cast with more chemistry than a hydrogen bomb.”

uproariously funny. Brunstetter shows an impressive command of contemporary slang…cleverly employed throughout”

“a very enjoyable experience — a raucously good time that is bound to tug on the heartstrings in places.. by this pitch-perfect production.”

The play is fun – and a bit racy.  We talk about sex some in the play as it is part of a major plot point.  There is no nudity, but there is a revealing costume. The play is not about sex, but it is about couples navigating their relationships with their partners. The play is not intended for children.
