MARKETING & COMMUNICATIONS MANAGER (Full-Time)
Horizon Theatre Company is looking for a fast-paced, smart individual with marketing and sales savvy and a background in theatre who is seeking an opportunity to lead and grow all facets of marketing/PR/sales for a professional contemporary theatre. Horizon is committed to new and recent plays and raising up the voices of women and artists of color.
Qualified candidate will have a minimum of 3 years post-college work experience in marketing, sales, communications, and public relations. Excellent writing, copy writing, communication, social media and e-marketing skills are a must. Candidate should be flexible and have the ability to organize, execute and evaluate an integrated, multi-faceted marketing/PR campaign. Other skills sought include: basic graphic design (Canva or more advanced), website/Word Press, photography, videography, database management (Tessitura), and expertise with Word/Excel/ Office programs. Candidates should also have a strong interest or background in theatre, a natural inclination for sales and marketing, an interest in creative ways to reach audiences, and an interest and ability to analyze patron data to drive and track growth. Salary $35K-$42K plus health insurance, depending on experience. Not an entry-level position.
The Marketing Manager will work from home until a return to office plan has been established for early fall. COVID vaccine mandatory.

TECHNICAL DIRECTOR (Full Time)
Horizon Theatre Company (Atlanta, Georgia) seeks an energetic, organized full-time TECHNICAL DIRECTOR. Responsible for supervision and execution of all production elements for mainstage shows, all auxiliary programming and maintaining the facility. 3-5 years of technical theatre experience required, theatre degree preferred. Strong carpentry skills, good working knowledge of lighting and sound, computer and communication skills required. Participate in all technical and staff meetings. Crew management experience preferred. Will supervise interns, volunteers, and contract labor including maintaining database of labor resources. Night and weekend hours required. As the senior staff in production, technical and facilities functions, this position reports to the Co-Artistic/Technical Director and the Co-Artistic/Producing Director and works closely with the entire theatre staff.

GRANT WRITER AND ADMINISTRATOR (Part-Time)
Horizon Theatre Company (Atlanta, Georgia) seeks an energetic, organized part-time GRANT WRITER. This position is responsible for finding and maintaining funding opportunities, including government, corporate, and foundation grants. This includes researching and meeting deadlines, drafting grant requests, grant reports, thank you letters, and completing additional documents and required information as requested by grantors. Working closely with the Director of Development and Senior staff, the grant writer also writes renewal letters, solicitation requests, and quarterly letters and emails to donors.
DEVELOPMENT ASSISTANT (Part-Time)
Horizon Theatre Company (Atlanta, Georgia) seeks an organized DEVELOPMENT ASSISTANT. This position is responsible for providing administrative support for the Development Director. This includes clerical details, filing, database management, record-keeping, research assistance, preparing mailings and correspondence. Supporting fundraising and special events as needed.

Horizon Theatre Company seeks a full-time Assistant Producer with an interest in a career in theatrical producing. This position will assist in producing all Horizon plays, education programs, play development projects and community engagement initiatives. Main areas of emphasis will be administrative support for Horizon productions, coordinating casting and literary submissions, and managing education and community engagement. Required: undergraduate degree, plus minimum 2 years post-college professional theatre experience. Salary $30,000 annually with benefits. Position mainly day hours but flexibility with evenings and weekends required.
Overview of Duties: Assist Co-Artistic/Producing Director in any areas needed for mainstage and family series seasons. by managing casting and literary work for main stage and family seasons; support Community Engagement initiatives in support of productions; produce family series show, Madeline’s Christmas; and assist as needed in development of other education programming.

Horizon Theatre Company seeks a part-time Master Electrician to ensure the timely and accurate realization of all lighting elements for Horizon’s 5-play main season, 2 Christmas plays and other productions/projects as needed. Master Electrician is responsible for implementing the lighting design for each production and maintaining the integrity of the lighting design throughout the performance period and manage and maintain performance-related electrics systems and equipment. Compensation hourly or by contract, depending on experience. Hours will average 50-70 for each production plus approximately 10 hours per month for maintenance and additional hours for special upgrade/repair projects.
