Cameron Bean

camero-beanCameron Bean (Managing Director) joins Horizon Theatre Company after ten years of development work in educational and non-profit arts institutions in the Southeast. His professional arts management career began in Columbus, GA, where he most recently served as Executive Director of Development for the historic Springer Opera House–State Theatre of Georgia. In this position he championed an $11.5 million capital campaign and managed the organization’s earned and contributed revenue teams. Prior to that, he served as Recruitment Coordinator for the College of the Arts and Advancement & Marketing Coordinator for the Department of Theatre at Columbus State University. During his tenure in Columbus, Cameron served a variety of arts and civic organizations including Youth Orchestra of Greater Columbus, Rotary Club of Columbus, ArtBeat of Columbus, Steeplechase at Callaway Gardens, Greater Columbus Georgia Young Professionals, Chattahoochee Valley Camellia Society, Historic District Preservation Society and Sherlock’s Mystery Dinner Theatre. He holds an MBA from the D. Abbott Turner College of Business and a BSEd in theatre education from Columbus State University, where he also teaches as an adjunct professor in the College of the Arts.
