Black Women Speak: Fall First Look Readings

Horizon Theatre Company announces Black Women Speak: Fall First Look, a live reading of scenes from the nationally-recognized New Georgia Woman Project: Black Women Speak (BWS) program, plus a chance to meet the playwrights and have a lively discussion with the BWS team.

BWS is a groundbreaking initiative to create works of and by Black women inspired by conversations with real Black women of Georgia.

Each night will also be livestreamed on Zoom, so audiences can attend in person or virtually.

THIS EVENT IS FREE, but to ensure we make the most of the limited capacity, there is a very small fee ($0.01) to reserve seats. Reservations may be cancelled by noon on the day of the event. With limited seating capacity, we will have to assess a no show fee of $15 to anyone who doesn’t cancel their reservation. Virtual tickets are also available at no charge if you prefer to join from home.

For these fun live (or Zoom if a patron prefers!) performances at Alpharetta Arts or the Horizon Theatre, Horizon is committed to being COVID safe. The theatre will follow its new COVID policy and procedures, including proof of vaccines for all audience members, artists, and staff; masks required for all patrons and staff; enhanced cleaning and sanitation; and HVAC system enhancements to deliver fresh air MERV-13 filtration.
