Shelby Folks

Shelby Folks (#13) is so excited to make her Horizon Theatre debut. She graduated in 2015 with a B.F.A. in Musical Theatre from Shorter College. From there, she spent a year at Serenbe Playhouse as an acting apprentice. Some of her most recent projects include Love’s Labors Lost as Jaquenetta with Zero Circle Theatre Company, Fancy Nancy as Nancy Clancy at Synchronicity Theatre, and Picnic as the volatile Millie Owens at Stage Door Players. She won a Woodie Award for best supporting actress for her portrayal of Millie Owens in Picnic. Some of her favorite credits include: Mary Lennox in Secret Garden, Meg Brockie in Brigadoon, Millie Owens in Picnic, and Ensemble in Evita. In her time offstage, you will find her teaching children about musical theatre and acting at the Alliance Theatre, OR giving snuggles to her beautiful rescue pitbull, Sibella Fromage.
