Dr. L. NYROBI N. MOSS (Costume Design) is an award-winning costume designer with more than 30 years of experience in theatre and entertainment. Nyrobi’s costume design work has appeared in theatres regionally and nationally across Atlanta, DC, Orlando, New York, Virginia, Las Vegas, and Dallas and internationally in Holland, West Africa, South Africa, and Dubai. Previous Horizon productions include The House That Will Not Stand, Support Group for Men, Square Blues, The Light, Sweet Water Taste, Nomad Motel, How Black Mothers Say I Love You, Citizen’s Market, The Ballad of Klook and Vinette, Project Dawn, Da Kink in My Hair, Uprising, Detroit, RIGHT ON!, Sheddin, Every Tongue Confess, The Bluest Eye, and Big Bang. Nyrobi won Suzi Bass awards for Outstanding Costume Design in a Play for Horizon’s 2010 production of Shakin’ the Mess Outta Misery and Synchronicity Theatre’s 2017 production of Eclipsed. Nominations include Outstanding Costume Design in a Musical for Horizon’s Blackberry Daze; Theatrical Outfit’s Five Guys Named Moe, and Actors’ Express’ The Color Purple, and Outstanding Design Team TYA for Synchronicity Theatre’s Bob Marley’s Three Little Birds. Nyrobi serves as the Co-Vice Chair on the Board of Directors of 7 Stages Theatre. She is also a Certified Relationship Specialist, and Business Consultant for non-profit organizations, entrepreneurs, artists, start-ups, and small businesses.
