Kristie Madara (Board of Directors) has more than 25 years of experience in corporate communications and public relations. She is currently Director of Corporate Communications for UCB, a global biopharmaceutical company. Prior to that, Kristie was Vice President – Global Corporate Affairs for Kinetic Concepts, Inc. (KCI), a medical technology company based in San Antonio, Texas. Kristie joined KCI from global contact lens manufacturer CIBA Vision, where she spent eight years as Vice President – Global Corporate Communications. In 2006, she was on an international assignment in Sydney, Australia working with Optometry Giving Sight (OGS) as the company’s first OGS Corporate Fellow helping to raise funds to build vision care centers in developing countries. Prior to CIBA Vision, Kristie spent 13 years at telecommunications company BellSouth Corporation in various public relations, media relations and internal communications roles. Kristie has a bachelor’s degree in Communications from The University of Alabama. Her interests include theatre, theatre and more theatre, learning to play the piano, traveling the world and all dogs.
