Kelly Criss (Artistic & Education Manager) graduated with a BA in Theatre Arts from Furman University. She then joined the pre-professional Apprentice program at the Atlanta Shakespeare Company, where she now works as an Education Artist. She has taught numerous residencies and summer intensives in Shakespeare since 2007. For several years, she has also taught elementary aged children through adult professionals at the Aurora Theatre in Lawrenceville, GA with both the afterschool and summer drama academy programs. Since 2012, she has worked at Horizon Theatre in various capacities including artistic support, and coordinating the annual Family Series production of Madeline’s Christmas. In addition, she serves as primary coordinator for the Young Playwrights Festival, working with 20-30 high school and college students for a week-long residency filled with workshops, rehearsals, seminars, and readings with professional actors, directors, and dramaturgs.
