Diane Dougherty

Rev. Dougherty is a validly ordained Roman Catholic Priest who is excommunicated by the catholic church because of her gender. Rather than leaving her call to serve, she is following God’s call by using Catholic teaching and preaching the gospel message of welcome and inclusion to those on the margins. She was a Sister for 23 years and lay woman for 24 years before becoming ordained. She has worked in catholic parishes, hospitals, schools and the Archdiocese of Atlanta. She has 4 educational degrees including a specialist degree in Neuroscience of the Brain.Presently she is working to change unjust structures in the church and society by joining all who work on the margins of society to bend the arc of justice close to our earth
