IN PARTNERSHIP WITH

Summer is here, Atlanta is opening up, and after 16 months, we’re thrilled to return to live performances – outdoors at Horizon in our “backyard”!!

Join us for a swashbuckling crew of musical pirates coming to our outdoor space
presented by our partner Destination Theatre! “How I Became a Pirate” is based on the hit children’s book written by Melinda Long and is a sea-faring musical that follows young Jessica Jacob and a swashbuckling band of goofy pirates on their hunt for the perfect place to bury treasure. She learns being back home with the ones she loves is the greatest treasure of all. Don’t miss this inaugural one-hour children’s outdoor show with artists to get you swept up in adventure!

To ensure COVID safety, we’ve brought theatre to the great outdoors, so you can enjoy it safely, with audience members socially distanced.  Our staff will be masked up and working to ensure everyone stays separated, sanitized, and smiling.

Bring your own chair or blanket (with tarp or plastic to put it on) and a picnic or snacks for a family outting. Outside food and drink are welcome!
