Kate Bidwell LaFoy (Patron Relations Manager/House Manager) thinks of Horizon Theatre as her second home where she doubles as the Patron Relations Manager/House Manager and a designer. Kate graduated from Agnes Scott College with a BA in Theatre. After graduation she participated in the internship program at Florida Studio Theatre as a Props and Costumes Intern in 2006 and worked as their House Manager. After that she worked as a freelance props designer until she came to Horizon. She started as the props designer for The Clean House at Horizon Theatre in April 2008 and was soon welcomed on board as the House Manager. She has been at Horizon ever since.
Other shows Kate has designed include The 13th of Paris, Shooting Star, Night Blooms, The Waffle Palace, Time Stands Still and Third Country as well as the Holiday shows since 2008. She has also designed props for Theatre in the Square, Synchronicity Theatre, The Red Clay Theatre, Pinch n’ Ouch Theatre, Fabrifaction Theatre, and Aurora Theatre. She enjoys working with the Horizon Apprentice Company on their front of house duties. She lives in Fayetteville with her husband.
