Heidi Cline McKerley (DESIGNING WOMEN: Director) is a proud Horizon Theatre Artistic Associate and has directed thirty-five projects over twenty-five years for this incredible company, though most recently she made her first onstage appearance with Horizon in Roe. Later this season, she will direct The Secret Garden for the Jennie T. Anderson Concert Series, The Play That Goes Wrong at the Aurora Theatre, and co-direct Pippin with her husband Jeff for the Atlanta Lyric Theatre. Heidi has been fortunate to work with most other professional theatres in Atlanta during her thirty-three years of living here; including the Alliance, City Springs, the Jennie T. Anderson Concert Series, Georgia Shakespeare, Atlanta Shakespeare, Aurora Theatre, Theatrical Outfit, Georgia Ensemble, Actor’s Express, Atlanta Lyric, Theatre Emory, Dad’s Garage, Fabrefaction, Jewish Theatre of the South, Theatre in the Square, Push Push Theatre and has been a guest artist for the Gainesville Theatre Alliance, Berry College, Kennesaw State University, the Lagrange Lyric, and the University of Georgia. Heidi has been nominated for fifteen Suzi Bass Awards, and won for Best Director of a Musical in 2011 for Avenue Q at the Horizon. Her production of Sunday in the Park With George for the Jennie T. Anderson Concert Series won nine Broadway World Awards for 2021.
