Theatres and artists born out of the protest movements of the 60s had a mission to speak to change in the country. What is the mission today when measured against the current protests, both as artists and as theatres? Does the black theatre artist have a responsibility to the movement, and if so, what? How do you view the role of allies outside the black community, both artists and theatres?
