Atlanta Children’s Theatre is passionate about sharing our love of drama and professional theatre with Atlanta’s children and families! We offer dramatic arts education experiences taught by theatre professionals in rich, child-honoring learning environments through summer camp, after-school, preschool and workshop programs. In addition, we are actively working towards becoming a full producing company, providing family-friendly productions for and by children.
ACT Artistic Director, Spring Mason, has over 39 years of professional theatre experience: acting, directing and teaching – including serving as Artistic Director for Atlanta Children’s Theatre, teaching/chairing the Georgia Governor’s Honors Drama Program, and working with Atlanta theatres such as Horizon Theatre, Academy Theatre, Young Audiences, Art Within, and Theatre Gael. She has taught and directed thousands of children, youth and adults and is passionate about sharing her love of theatre with Georgia children and families. In addition to her professional theatre credits, Spring has also worked with GPTV, CNN, Cartoon Network, Disney, Nickelodeon, Tyler Perry Productions, and several filmmakers to cast and direct kid talent for various productions. Spring served as Creative Director for a large church in Buckhead and has written for 2:52 Basics, which provides curriculum for children in thousands of churches and schools throughout the world.
