Maiesha McQueen is thrilled to be making “Da’ Kink” her Horizon Theatre debut! After graduating from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts with a BFA in Musical Theatre, Maiesha traveled the globe for over a decade as co-founder, original composer and lead ensemble member of the touring company, Progress Theatre, whose work has been presented at spaces such as The Public Theater, 14th Street Playhouse, The Kennedy, and World Music Festival in Amsterdam. She was last seen in the world premiere of Sirens of Song at Milwaukee Reparatory Theatre. Other regional credits include: Ain’t Misbehavin’ (Portland Center Stage), Chasin’ Dem Blues (True Colors Theatre, GA), Black Nativity (Dominion Productions, GA); In the Red and Brown Water (PG Entertainment, GA); Little Shop of Horrors, Show Boat, Man of Lamancha, Guys and Dolls (Forestburg Playhouse, NY).
