Marguerite Hannah* has walked the boards of the Alabama Shakespeare Festival, Alliance Theatre, Arena Stage, Arkansas Rep, Burning Coal Theatre, Delaware Theatre, Huntington Theatre, Jomandi, Kenny Leon’s True Colors Theatre, Oregon Shakespeare Festival, People’s Light & Theatre, Players’ Theatre, PlayMakers Rep, 7 Stages, St. Louis Black Rep, Theatre in the Square, Theatrical Outfit and Williamstown Theatre Festival. Her roles have included August Wilson’s Joe Turner’s Come and Gone, Two Trains Running, Piano Lesson, and Seven Guitars; Pearl Cleage’s Blues for an Alabama Sky, Flyin’ West and A Song for Coretta as well as notable American drama like The Amen Corner, Bus Stop, Raisin in the Sun and The Glass Menagerie. She originated roles in Shakin’ the Mess Outta Misery, Constant Star, Night Blooms, A Cool Drink of Water and The Waffle Palace. Marguerite received a Back Stage West Garland Award for Best Ensemble in Blues for an Alabama Sky at Oregon Shakespeare, Theatre in the Square Jennie for Best Supporting Actor in Bus Stop and was an ensemble member of the 2010 Suzi Award winner for Outstanding Production of a Play for Shakin’ the Mess Outta Misery. She is Horizon’s Business Manager and Director of the Apprentice Company.
