AMER-MARIE WOODS (Colleen) is delighted to make her debut at Horizon Theatre. Amer has worked at theatres around Atlanta, including the Alliance Theatre, 7 Stages, Stage Door Theatre, and Synchronicity Theatre. Her most recent credits include Lena in Cry It Out (Stage Door Theatre), Tabitha in Witch Cake (7 Stages Theatre), and Amber in Yanni Stone and the Honeypot Trap (Synchronicity Theatre), where she also understudied in In Spite My Ambivalence. Before stepping fully into the theatre world, Amer-Marie spent ten years working in healthcare as a neurophysiologist, bringing the same focus, steadiness, and care to the operating room that she now brings to the stage. That path makes this role especially meaningful to her: it is a chance to honor her grandmother, Marie, and her aunt, Diane, both lifelong nurses whose dedication to healing others first inspired her to pursue a life of service, and who continue to inspire the purpose she brings to her art.
