Qualified candidate will have a minimum of 5 years experience and/or training in marketing, communications, and public relations, and have excellent writing and communication skills. Candidate should be flexible and have the ability to organize and execute a multi-faceted marketing campaign. Other qualities/skills sought include: e-mail and social media marketing experience, strong computer experience (Word, Excel, Tessitura, digital design/publishing), video editing, art direction database; a strong interest or background in theatre; salesmanship; interest in creative ways to reach audiences; interest and ability to analyze patron data to drive and track growth.   Salary $30K-$40K depending on experience. Horizon Theatre Company seeks a full-time Assistant Producer with an interest in a career in theatrical producing.  This position will assist in producing all Horizon plays, education programs, play development projects and community engagement initiatives.  Main areas of emphasis will be administrative support for Horizon productions, coordinating casting and literary submissions, and managing education and community engagement.  Required:  undergraduate degree, plus minimum 2 years post-college professional theatre experience.   Salary $30,000 annually with benefits.    Position mainly day hours but flexibility with evenings and weekends required.

Horizon Theatre Company is hiring part-time Front of House (FOH) Staff – seeking outgoing, detail-oriented people with daytime and evening availability to serve as box office/office assistants and house managers for performances. FOH staff may expect to work 1 to 4 shifts per week during our regular season and double the shifts during our holiday season. Please note: there are performances on Thanksgiving Eve, Christmas Eve, New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day. All Horizon Staff is expected to work two of these performances. Pay is $10 per hour. Positions are available immediately with training.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide great customer service while ensuring an enjoyable patron experience
  • Sell tickets using Tessitura
  • Supervise assistant house managers, apprentices, and ushers
  • Maintain all patron areas of the facility
  • Oversee concession sales and stocking

Horizon Theatre Company seeks a part-time Master Electrician to ensure the timely and accurate realization of all lighting elements for Horizon’s 5-play main season, 2 Christmas plays and other productions/projects as needed.  Master Electrician is responsible for implementing the lighting design for each production and maintaining the integrity of the lighting design throughout the performance period and manage and maintain performance-related electrics systems and equipment. Compensation hourly or by contract, depending on experience.   Hours will average 50-70 for each production plus approximately 10 hours per month for maintenance and additional hours for special upgrade/repair projects.
