Here at Horizon, we need your help. Here at Horizon, we need your help with box office administration tasks. Through volunteering your time and talents, you help us to be a dynamic leader in the production and development of professional contemporary theatre in the Southeast. The Box Office Volunteer position requires a minimum time commitment of one three-hour shift per week for at least four months. Some responsibilities will include contacting patrons, data entry, taking ticket and subscription orders, and most of all, facilitating positive experiences with Horizon for patrons. This position requires knowledge and appreciation of the Arts and Arts organizations, basic computer skills (we will provide in depth training for our automated ticket sales program), and communication skills. The Usher position requires a one-night time commitment of approximately two-three hours. You are welcome to usher more than once per show. Some responsibilities will include welcoming guests, taking tickets, distributing programs, and assisting the House Manager with any other tasks required. This position requires knowledge and appreciation of the Arts and Arts organizations and strong people skills.
The Volunteer Designer position is a limited time commitment; you are welcome to coordinate your own hours with our Managing Producer. Utilize your decorating and design skills for a good cause. We are renovating our lobby space and need input on color schemes, sketches, and other design elements. This position requires knowledge and appreciation of the Arts and Arts organizations, a background in visual arts/ design, and an interest in painting and revnovation. |
