ALEJANDRO GUTIERREZ (Monsieur Brun/Harsha) is thrilled to make his debut on the Horizon Theatre stage after working behind the scenes on Black Pearl Sings and Shakin' the Mess Outta Misery. Recent credits include The True Story of the 3 Little Pigs! (Theatre in the Square), Cinderella Della Circus (Center for Puppetry Arts), and A Year with Frog and Toad (Legacy Theatre). In addition to performing on stage live and as a puppeteer, Ali is also a local music director, stage manager, and sound designer. Ali would like to thank Lisa, Jeff, Heidi, Renée, and the rest of the Horizon staff for this wonderful opportunity, mom and dad for their love and support, and BBF and Whitney for, well you know.

NAOMI LAVETTE (Mrs. Murphy) is thrilled to return to Horizon Theatre after her Suzi-nominated role in Shakin' the Mess Outta Misery (Best Featured Actress). Naomi is a two-time Suzi Bass nominee. Favorite stage credits include: Yale School of Drama Cabaret, The Donny Hathaway Story; Seven Stages, Angela's Mixed Tape (Best Ensemble); Aurora Theatre, Once on This Island; Alliance Theatre, Jesus Christ Superstar; and True Colors, Amen Corner. She has toured extensively throughout the U.S and has several film and television credits including, Army Wives and Tyler Perry's House of Payne. She recently filmed the movie Flight with Denzel Washington and Don Cheadle (release spring 2012). She is grateful to God for many blessings and to her husband David, family and friends for their constant support.
JOSIE BURGIN-LAWSON (Mrs. Murphy) Previous Atlanta shows include: Medea with Impulse Theatre Company; Comedy of Errors, Richard III, and Edward III at The Shakespeare Tavern; Moonlight & Valentino and Broadway Bound at Stage Door Players; Wit! at Onstage Atlanta; The Savannah Disputation with Academy Theatre; and The Great American Trailer Park Musical with The New Depot Players. Up next: playing Nurse in Romeo and Juliet at The Atlanta Shakespeare Tavern. Thanks so much, Heidi, Lisa, Renée and Naomi for letting me "share" this wonderful experience.support.

LAUREN ROSENZWEIG (Miss Clavel) started performing at age three, and hasn't stopped since! Having only lived in Atlanta for the last three years, she has portrayed roles such as Cathy in The Last Five Years, Julia in The Wedding Singer and Marian in The Music Man. Lauren is thrilled to be acting under Heidi's direction, and to be a part of Horizon Theatre's Christmas musical. She is also honored to be surrounded by so many talented youngsters! The lessons she has learned from them and through this entire experience will always be remembered. Lauren would like to thank her mom and dad, E, B and L for their love and support. As always, for Grammy.

ABOUT THE ARTISTIC TEAM

HEIDI CLINE McKERLEY (Director) has been a part of the Atlanta theatre scene for 22 years working as an actress, director, teacher, costume designer, and producer. During her time in Atlanta, Heidi has had the pleasure of working with the Alliance Theatre, Theatrical Outfit, Georgia Shakespeare, Shakespeare Tavern, Atlanta Lyric, Actor's Express, 7 Stages, Auror, Theatre Gael, Jewish Theatre of the South, and Dad's Garage…to name a few wonderful theatres! This is Heidi's 15th year working with Horizon Theatre, and her 22nd project. She was founding Producing Artistic Director of Soul-stice Repertory for nine years, presenting over 30 theatrical classics in the Backstage Theatre of 7 Stages. Outside of Atlanta, Heidi has worked for the Hippodrome State Theatre and the Oasis Theatre Project in Florida, the Walnut Street Theatre in Philadelphia, the Gainesville Theatre Alliance, and the LaGrange Lyric Theatre. Heidi is also involved in performance storytelling and is the artistic director of St. Martin's World Storytelling Celebration as well as being a member of the National Storytelling Network, the Southern Order of Storytellers, the Educational Theatre Association of America, and the American Alliance for Theatre in Education. RENÉE CLARK (Music Director) Theatrical Outfit (Big River, Gee's Bend, Waiting To Be Invited, Ain't Misbehavin'); Alliance Theatre (Jesus Christ Super Star Gospel, Jaques Brel); Horizon Theatre (Avenue Q, Madeline's Christmas, The Thing About Men, Cafe Puttanesca); Theatre In The Square (His Eye Is On The Sparrow, Mahalia); Shakespeare Tavern (Hamlet: the Musical, Irma Vep, Cabaret); Center for Puppetry Arts (Brer Rabbit); The New Jomandi (Ain't Misbehavin'); Youth Ensemble of Atlanta (Endangered Species, Colors of Love, Urban Holiday Soup); Jomandi Productions (Josphine Live, El Hajj Malik, Queen of the Blues, Dunbar's Fantasy). Renée's most recent work is Travelin' Black where she was the co-writer and composer.

ISABEL CURLEY-CLAY & MORIAH CURLEY-CLAY (Set Designers) are pleased to be back at Horizon Theatre for Madeline's Christmas. They always love working on Horizon's plays and productions. Some favorite recent Atlanta credits include Freud's Last Session at Theatrical Outfit as well as their Suzi-nominated scenic design for Superior Donuts here at Horizon Theatre, and their 2011 Suzi award-winning scenic design for Avenue Q also here at Horizon. Moriah and Isabel are glad to be working with such a wonderful cast and group of artists. Enjoy the show!

KRISTEN HUNSICKER (Stage Manager) is thrilled to be back working with Horizon Theatre. She is a graduate of Georgia Southern University with a B.S. in Interior Design. She has worked as an Assistant Stage Manager for Madeline's Christmas and Superior Donuts here at Horizon. Additionally, she has worked around Atlanta as a Set Designer for A 1940s Radio Christmas Carol (Onstage Atlanta), By The Bog Of Cats (14th Street Playhouse), and The Stories of Scheherazade (Red Clay Theater); Assistant Stage Manager and Set Designer for The Dead Guy (Onstage Atlanta), and Production Assistant for the films Everybody Walk and AKA Blondie.

ANNA JENNY (Costume Designer) graduated from Savannah College Art and Design with a degree in Production Design with a focus in Costume Design. Anna is a 2010 alum of Horizon Theatre's Apprentice Company. She was nominated for a Suzi Bass Award this year for costume design for Avenue Q and is now working as a Wardrobe and Prop Coordinator at the Georgia Aquarium.

THOM JENKINS (Sound Designer) is a composer, musician, sound designer and educator based in Atlanta. He is delighted to be back working with his friends at the Horizon Theatre. His recent work includes: Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde at Aurora Theatre; Black Pearl Sings, Shakin' the Mess Outta Misery, and Tree at Horizon Theatre; Don Quixote at The Center for Puppetry Arts; Frankenstein at Theater Emory; A Confederacy of Dunces at Theatrical Outfit; and Stealing Dixie, The 39 Steps, Circle Mirror Transformation, and On Golden Pond at Theatre In The Square in Marietta.

KATE BIDWELL LAFOY (Props Designer) is very excited to be working on her 4th holiday season here at Horizon Theatre. She thinks of Horizon as her second home where she doubles as the house manager. Her previous credits include Horizon's productions of Superior Donuts, Night Blooms, The Clean House, The Santaland Diaries, The 13th of Paris, and Shooting Star. She has also designed props for Theatre in the Square, Synchronicity Performance Group, The Red Clay Theatre, and Aurora Theatre. As always, to her husband Cam—I love you lots like purple spots.

JEFF McKERLEY (Choreographer) has been active in the Atlanta theatre community for 25 years as an award-winning actor, director, and choreographer and is pleased to be working on his 4th annual Madeline's Christmas. Currently, he can be seen as Captain Von Trapp in The Sound of Music with Atlanta Lyric Theatre. Future projects include a remount of Avenue Q, and Romeo & Juliet with The Shakepeare Tavern. Previous Horizon Theatre credits include: The Thing About Men (Suzi Award Nomination - Actor); Water Coolers: An Office Musical (Suzi Award Nomination – Choreography); I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change; Easy--The Play, and (of course) Avenue Q (Suzi Award Nomination - Featured Actor - Musical). "Love to Heidi…you make me better (xo)!"

MARY PARKER (Lighting Designer) is thrilled to return to Horizon Theatre as a resident designer. Over the seven years that Mary has called Atlanta home, she has had the pleasure of designing for almost every professional theatre company in town, as well as several regional theatres throughout the Southeast. Recent favorites include: Avenue Q and Tree at Horizon; How I Became A Pirate at South Carolina's Children's Theatre; Spelling Bee and Inherit The Wind at Georgia Ensemble Theatre; Little Foxes and Ghost-Writer at T-Square; Assistant design Bring It On at the Tony Award Winning Alliance Theatre. Mary is super grateful to be the recipient of the Suzie Bass award and Theatre Fan award for her work here at Horizon on Avenue Q.
