Vaunna Gower is a 7th Grade Honor Student at Miller Grove Middle School. Vaunna has been dancing with Academy of the Arts since she was 3 years old where she is also a member of the competition team, Trendsetters Dance Company. She is technically trained in Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Lyrical, Modern, Hip Hop, African, Musical Theater and Majorette. It was her being cast as Clara in her studio’s adaptation of The Nutcracker that sparked Vaunna’s interest in acting and Musical Theater. She has acted in several studio plays and has performed Musical Theater dances in My New Philosophy, The Little Mermaid, A Chorus Line (I Hope I Get It) and Chicago’s Cell Block Tango. Vaunna is an award winning elite dancer and has won numerous top awards in the competition world. Her 2018 Tap Trio performed recently at the famed Apollo Theater’s Amateur Night in New York. She has also been a Spelman College Mini Mahagony-N-Motion dancer for 2 years and has been a NBA Atlanta Hawks Jr. Cheerleader & WNBA Atlanta Dream Jr. Cheerleader. Vaunna is excited to be working with and learning from such an amazing cast and production team.
