Mala Bhattacharya (Miss Clavel) is honored to be making her Horizon Theatre Company debut as Miss Clavel. Most recently, Mala participated in East by SouthEast: A Festival of Asian Voices (hosted by Horizon and Aurora Theatres). In Atlanta: Girls Life (Pinch ‘N’ Ouch Theatre), Guys and Dolls, Sondheim on Sondheim (Act3 Productions). In NYC: Ghost Dancers (Stone Soup Theatre), Shakuntala (Authentic Theatre), Forbidden Office (Turnstyle Theatre). In Boston: Sondheim on Sondheim, Man of La Mancha, Miss Witherspoon (Lyric Stage Company of Boston), Bubbly Black Girl Sheds Her Chameleon Skin (Speakeasy Stage), King and I, Into the Woods (Fiddlehead Theatre Company). Mala is an active voiceover artist and was a resident artist with Berkshire Opera and Pine Mountain Music Festival. She holds an M.M. in Opera Performance from the Longy School of Music.
