Adewunmi Oke

Adewunmi Oke is a third year MFA Dramaturgy graduate student at UMass Amherst and is originally from Atlanta, GA. every tongue confess is her first collaboration with Horizon Theatre and she is happy to be back home. This production marks her second Marcus Gardley play. She was an Assistant Dramaturg and played the role of Rena the blues singer in Gardley’s Hell in High Water (formerly known as On the Levee) at UMass Amherst. Her dramaturgical production work includes Venus at UMass Amherst, Gee’s Bend at Arkansas Repertory, Machinal at UMass Amherst, and Pride and Prejudice at the University of Southern Mississippi. She also was an Assistant Dramaturg for the The Whipping Man at Hartford Stage.
