Did you know that Horizon Theatre impacts nearly 40,000 individuals each year through artistic and educational programs. However, with budgets tightening, government funding being cut, and resources becoming scarce, Horizon Theatre is finding it more and more difficult to maintain the programming it has built over the past 26 years, including:
- A 5-play mainstage season of contemporary regional and world premieres;
- The New South Play Festival of new plays for and about the urban Southeast;
- A Family Series of TWO shows for children and their families;
- FREE educational and outreach programs including the Senior Ensemble, New South Young Playwrights' Festival, and Apprentice & Intern Companies.
Moreover, Horizon Theatre provides jobs to hundreds of artists, technicians and administrators annually; contributing to the economic health and vitality of our city and state. With reasons like these, it's pretty hard not to "HEART" Horizon! That's why I'm joining the hundreds of individuals who are showing their love by collecting tax-deductable donations in support of this great organization. With your help, I can reach my personal fundraising goal of $100, and help to close Horizon Theatre's nearly $40,000 budget gap before June 30th. So give...Give...GIVE! Even if it's just a dollar, it will go a long way in ensuring Horizon Theatre is able to stay alive for the next 26 years.
