FRONT OF HOUSE ASSOCIATES  

Horizon Theatre Company is hiring part-time Front of House associates who will be crossed trained in house management and box office. Looking for outgoing, detail-oriented people who can handle duties that include the following:

  • House management
  • Concession sales and maintenance
  • Usher coordination and training
  • Patron assistance
  • Theatre/lobby maintenance and cleaning
  • Selling tickets using Tessitura Ticketing System via phone & in person
  • Completely show reports

Skills Required

  • Demonstrate abilities in customer service, hospitality and problem solving skills
  • Ability to cheerfully communicate with theatre patrons to provide a courteous and welcoming environment
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure remaining flexible to new situations
  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions without supervision
  • Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Experience with Tessitura strongly desired, but not required

The hours are non-traditional including evenings and weekends and possibly some daytime box shifts. Pay is $10 per hour. Positions are available immediately, paid training.

MANAGING DIRECTOR:  HORIZON THEATRE COMPANY seeks an experienced, collaborative professional to partner in leading the theatre to the next level of growth. Managing Director will work closely with the CEO/Founder and staff to implement the theatre’s vision and business strategies and create a collaborative team of staff, board and volunteers. Responsible for: managing human resources, ensuring smooth running of theatre operations, and taking a leadership role in fundraising and facility planning.  The right candidate will have a track record of effective management and team-building, be detail oriented, organized and flexible, a good communicator and have a passion for contemporary theatre.  Salary competitive with theatres of similar budget size and commensurate with experience. Horizon is known for its leadership in Atlanta’s arts community, artistic innovation and fiscal responsibility, and is committed to commissioning, developing and producing new work that serves our mission.
